Star Games is the first mobile casino that I’ve reviewed to have Novomatic slot games. Although the number of games is limited in number and variety (they only have slots), they are pretty much perfectly formed. And it probably won’t be too long before BetVictor’s mobile casino and one or two of the other mobile casinos I’ve reviewed have them as their games like Book Of Ra and Lucky Lady’s Charm are pretty popular in the UK and Europe especially.
Interestingly Star Games don’t make a big thing out of their mobile casino. If you go to their home page on a PC it’s not even mentioned, but if you visit using a mobile device it auto detects your device and delivers you to the mobile casino website.
It’s very well laid and lets you find the games quickly without having to trawl through layers of menus to find what you’re after. That said, what you get on an Android device differs slightly to an Apple iOS device right now although I’m told they should be aligned by mid 2014. The bottom line is that there are 12 slot games available including premium Novomatic stars (Novostar / Admiral) Book Of Ra Deluxe, Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe, Sizzling Hot Deluxe, Dolphin’s Pearl Deluxe, Lord Of The Ocean, Dazzling Diamonds, Mystic Secrets, Power Stars, Roaring Forties, Secret Elixir, Hoffmania and Just Jewels Deluxe.
If you don’t already have an account then the sign up process is good. They use that validation code to confirm you’re a human, but it’s different in so much as they provide you with a list of characters to enter. Much simpler than the others I’ve failed to use successfully first time!!
Once signed up you can choose to play for real or play money. I’ve made the odd mistake with setting betting limits when tapping and swiping the screen, so if free play is there I like to use it so I can get used to the controls before playing for real money.
A welcome bonus of up to €100 is available for new players. One thing to note is that while Star Games is generally known as a reliable place to play and has easily the largest selection of Novomatic games, my only grumble is that can be pretty slow to respond to support requests and crucially, to process cashouts. You will get your money, that’s not the issue, it’s just that it can take over a week to get it sometimes.
Neither Sky Vegas or Grosvenor Mobile casinos carry the Novomatic mobile slots, even though they both have them on their full online casinos, so unfortunately you’ll struggle to find a quicker paying mobile casino that has Novomatic slots.
I’ve played the slots on my Samsung Android Mobile & tablet and didn’t have issues with either. The site has been written in HTML5 so it’s compatible with all devices. I used Chrome, but the site does suggest that you use Firefox as it is optimised for that.
