So Paddy Power have finally cleaned up their Mobile Casino, making it a lot easier to find and with a simplified product set.
However if you’re an Android, Windows or Blackberry user you’ll be disappointed to find that Paddy Power Vegas is just not available for you yet!.
But they are still one of our Top Mobile Casinos.
Getting Started
If you read my previous Paddy Power review you will remember what a mess their mobile product was, how you couldn’t find anything and how it wasn’t available for all devices. Well thankfully that has now changed, with only one small exception that I’ll come to in a minute.
In a simplified form there are now 4 Mobile Apps. In reality they are not “apps” at all, but separate HTML5 based mobile casinos,but it’s easier to think of them in those terms.
- Live Casino App (this is really an APP!) – Which offers the Playtech Live Casino games Blackjack, Baccarat & Roulette for Android and IOS devices. This is a very playable interface and PLaytech have done a really good job in shrinking down the standard desktop interface for use on mobile devices. - Paddy Power Games – This is where Paddy keep all of their non Playtech games. They have a huge list of game developers that they use. Check out the Mobile Casino Games section for more information on these Playtech-developed games. The software is in use at a few prominent mobile casinos including Betfair (see Neil’s Betfair Mobile Casino Review for more) and BetFred (similarly, our Betfred Mobile Casino review) but once you’re in, Paddy Power’s mobile integration is marginally the best of the those I’ve encountered so far in my opinion.
These have clearly been developed (by Playtech) with “mobile” in mind and use a combination of swiping and screen tapping to activate the games, change bet amounts and even spinning the slots. In common with games that require you to tap the screen to increase your bet, be careful, it’s very easy to increase your bet without realising it.
However some of the games cannot sense being run in landscape mode and as a result you only get half the screen on small-screen devices. On others they auto-sense the screen orientation and tell you what mode to play in. Why Playtech don’t do this for all games I’m not sure or maybe it’s device-dependent. I’m afraid you will just have to use trial and error to find what works best for you.
That said, the games are very playable on both the mobile phone and tablet. and they provide good coverage with cards based games, slots and scratch cards.

Some games like Deal or No Deal require you to download an additional app and I have to say that if you like the game, it is very good and well worth it.
You have to be logged in to see the options to play the games. You will also notice that some games ask you to enter your mobile telephone number. This is a legacy thing and there is no need to do this to play. That should save some confusion if you are using a tablet and have no 3G! Shame they haven’t attended to this but although possibly confusing for people new to online gaming it’s no show-stopper.
It was disappointing that for the games I tried, there was no option for practice or demo play. I always like to try before I buy, especially if it’s a new game, and I like to get use to what win lines look like and even the bonus features so I can engage and enjoy the game more.
Paddy Power Vegas
The Vegas “App” is only avaibale for users who have IOS devices and makes avaibale games from Viaden, Gamesys, Playtech and PlayN’Go.
There is clearly some rational behind this, but it escapes me.

Paddy Power Customer Service Review (Reviewed by Ian)
I’ve been a regular at Padddy Power’s online casino for years and they offer great service, Fast cashouts, no messing around, decent support and good products. The only complaint would be a lack of bonuses and promotions that I find of interest although I am speaking as a slots player mainly.
To add a quick comment to Neil’s Paddy Power mobile casino reviews above, I’ve also recently played at Paddy Power mobile casino on my android tablet and downloaded and played the Vegas Casino app on my iPad. I liked both but as Neil says above, the android casino from Playtech needs a bit of work. The Vegas Casino app uses Viaden software but really looks nice. That would be my pick.
OVERALL
Overall I think Paddy Power have got good coverage. They are like a lot of online casinos that have many different versions or products that in some instances could arguably be combined into one option to simplify the experience. But the games are generally very good and Paddy Power is one of the best regarded operators so they come recommended not just by me but by a lot of players.
